The financial assistance is fixed by system size rather than by invoice value, which means the smaller your quoted price, the larger the share the government covers. Step-by-step application guide

1. Register on the National Portal

Create a consumer account on pmsuryaghar.gov.in with your state, DISCOM (TANGEDCO) and electricity service number, then verify with the OTP sent to your registered mobile.

2. Apply for feasibility approval

Submit the rooftop application with your latest electricity bill. TANGEDCO checks sanctioned load, connection category and technical feasibility — this usually returns in 2 to 5 business days.

3. Install through a registered vendor

4. Net meter and inspection
